Kansas City First Birthday Photographer | Swade Studios | Unexpected First Birthday Moments

We all know that first birthdays are a big deal. Your baby is about to embark on a new adventure of walking and talking!

 Many of my clients like to celebrate their baby’s first birthday with a special outdoor session as well as an indoor cake smash. It’s nice to have a variety of images for that first birthday. Especially when you don’t know how they might react to their surroundings or their yummy birthday cake!

This beautiful baby girl seemed to enjoy her first birthday photo shoot. She had such an expressive face. Love the shot of her parents helping her walk through the golden grasses. The plaid skirt was perfect with those little boots. The parents chose a pink and gold theme for the cake smash and she seemed to love the cake. It was fantastic when we were able to get her to actually hold a piece of the cake.

While we were at the park, she had a surprised expression on her face next to the vintage ladder. It is one of my favorites! You can see that some of the best images are ones that are unexpected. I’m looking forward to many more first birthday sessions!
